If you have dry, oily or combination skin, Exfoliation will help your skin both physically and aesthetically.

What is Exfoliation?

It removes dead skin cells and build-up from the outer layer of your skin. You can use a chemical or physical exfoliation method to remove old skin cells. The different types of exfoliation prevents clogged pores and reveals the fresher, healthier skin underneath.

Exfoliation assists your skin’s natural cell turnover process. Skin cell turnover begins in the deepest layer of the epidermis. As a result, These young cells level up through the other layers of the epidermis until they reach the surface of the skin. To add, Skin cell turnover is a natural process but slows down with age. Furthermore, It takes 28 days to form cells in healthy young skin. However, once you get older, it takes longer days or even more. Consequently leads to skin concerns like dullness, uneven skin tone and breakouts due to congestion of the pores.

You are in control of how much pressure to apply, what part of the body to focus on, and how frequently you use it. For instance, If you choose an exfoliating face wash. Avoid ingredients like crushed fruit pits and nutshells. Because large particles cause micro-tears which damage the skin barrier. Some Examples of Physical exfoliation I recommend are :
